Feeding Frenzy Nom, Nom, Nom Both the 10am and 12pm trips watched Common Dolphin feeding about four miles offshore from the Headlands. Both pods were well over 400 dolphin along with pelagic birds of several kinds from our smaller shearwaters to our larger diving pelicans. Conditions are just wonderful on the water these days. The baleen whales continue to feed farther offshore and elude our observations. Barely a mile offshore, we came across a large pod of Common Dolphin traveling up the coast
