Ensure that the contacts on both iPad and keyboard are dirt and dust free - and all debris from the eraser have been removed - before reconnecting the two.

There needs to be a pop-up row of F1-F12 function keys to make this a complete keyboard solution. Apple please make the F1-F12 keys available. I'm using the US English keyboard (defaults). Thanks. Seems the thing that activates the keyboard is a small reed switch (I am guessing) in the guttering just above the keyboard. When you snap the keyboard together ready for typing a magnet on the oposing face triggers the switch. Try it out!

2021年5月26日 · ipad pro magic keyboard Sometimes when I close the Magic Keyboard the backlighting on the keys do not go out and it drains the battery. Got brand new iPad Pro, 11”, 2020 and Magic Keyboard on June 12. Other times the keyboard will not light up in a dark room and the settings are correct. Anyone else having the same problem?
