According to local news: "North Devon Council has passed an urgent decision to enter new theatre contract with Parkwood Theatres". The previous theatre provider, North Devon Theatres Trust, went into administration in January 2017. Both the Queen's Theatre in Barnstaple and the Landmark Theatre in Ilfracombe were shut immediately. "Parkwood Theatres may take on North Devon theatres 'very soon' says council".
