Hello I am planning to go to the Roslyn Packer Theatre to see a play in June. Do you know if the seats in the downstairs area are on a slope or is the floor flat there? I was interested to see that the back rows upstairs are more expensive than some of the downstairs seats. I like to see the actors faces if possible. Thanks for any advice.

We sat is the very back row on the left hand side facing towards the stage. Even is this position we had a very good view of the stage and could hear clearly everything that was said. Great restaurants across the road. We walked down from Wynyard Station. Unfortunately it is about 2 km and uphill in parts on the way back. My only disappointment was not with the theatre of the show, Muriel's Wedding, but with the fact that when you come out of the theatre at the end of the show once you leave the general vicinity the area is like a "tomb", nobody around. Compare this to London where the place is alive when the theatre goers leave the theatres at the end of the shows.
